Advocating for Honor, Justice, and Belonging

WMCA empowers Muslim communities across Wisconsin by turning collective voices into lasting policy impact.

Advocacy is how we transform community values into concrete change. Through education, engagement, and policy action, WMCA ensures that Muslim voices shape the decisions affecting our lives, our children, and our future.

Educate Our Community

We provide accessible resources and training so community members understand their rights, the legislative process, and how to advocate effectively.

Engage Decision Makers

We build relationships with legislators, policymakers, and community leaders to ensure Muslim perspectives are heard and respected at every level.

Advance Just Policies

We champion legislation that protects civil rights, promotes inclusion, and addresses systemic barriers facing Muslim communities in Wisconsin.

Advocacy in Action

In 2025 and 2026, the Wisconsin Muslim Civic Alliance brought over 100 community members to Madison to meet with legislators, share personal stories, and advocate for policies that strengthen our communities.

In 2025, we addressed rising Islamophobia and the need for greater protection of civil rights. In 2026, we advocated for the recognition of Eid as a significant religious holiday and mobilized opposition to AB 445 / SB 446 related to the IHRA definition.

Together, we made our voices heard at the State Capitol and demonstrated the power of organized, community-driven advocacy.
